Only 10percent of candidates scored credit and above in core
subjects
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has recorded another
mass failure in the November/December Senior School Certificate
Examinations (SSCE).
The registrar to the examination body, Professor Promise Okpala,
made the announcement on Wednesday, while releasing the results
at the council headquarters in Minna, Niger state.
The 2011 result that was just released by the council revealed that
10 percent of the 110,724 candidates that sat for the examinations
scored credit and above in core subjects like English language,
Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Geography.
Okpala said there was improvement in Mathematics as 41 percent
of the students scored credit, pass and above, compared to that of
last year, which recorded only 17 percent success in the same
subject.
“It is troubling that at a time when the nation is facing decay in its
moral standard with the rise of militancy, despite religious
dedication, only 5 percent scored credit, pass and above in Islamic
studies while less than one percent scored credit pass and above in
Christian religious studies,” he said.
The results that were presented showed a 40 percent reduction in
the number of candidates that sat for the examination in 2011, but
the registrar attributed that to the council’s determination towards
eradicating malpractices in the conduct of its examination.
For the past five years, the examination body has recorded mass
failure.

The result of the 2012 UTME has been released by the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board, with only 3 candidates of the 1,503,931 registered candidates scoring above 300 while the results of 27,266 candidates across eight states were withheld.
The JAMB Registrar/Chief Executive, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde, who stated this at a news conference in Abuja, listed Abia, Benue, Cross River, Delta, Imo, Lagos, Nasarawa and Rivers as the affected states, due to malpractice such as extortion of money by some examination officials.
“In 2012 UTME, we had some disturbing news of extortion of money from innocent candidates by greedy proprietors and supervisors all these persons will be brought to book,” he said, adding that the outcome of investigation would determine if more results would be released.
According to Professor Ojerinde, 72,243 scored 250 and above while 336,330 scored below 170.
“For the 2012 UTME, Imo had the highest number of applicants with 123,865 candidates, Delta came second with 88,876 candidates while Anambra placed third with 84,204 candidates and FCT recorded the lowest number with 3,380 candidates.
The University of Lagos recorded the highest applicants with 83,865 candidates; Nnamdi Azikiwe University came second with 82,148 candidates and the University of Benin came third with 80,048 candidates.”he said.
He also said arrangements have been made for candidates to check their results online using JAMB web site @ www.jamb.org.ng/unifiedtme

Hello friends do you know that we can use window 7 from 30 days to 120 days without activation or without using any bull shit crack.
It can be achieve by using the slmgr -rearm this command will extend the use of window 7 period from 30 days to 120 days.
here is the complete tutorial.
Details Steps are
Step 1:
Goto Start Menu -> All Programs -> Accessories . Right click on Command Prompt and select “Run as Administrator“. If you are not the administrator then you are prompted to enter the password.
Step 2:
Now type the command and hit enter
slmgr -rearm (press enter)
Step 3:
You will be prompted to restart the computer. Once restarted the trial period will be reset to 30 days. You can use the command for up to 3 times to extend the trial period to 120 days without activation.
Step 4:
Concentrate on this trick to extend trail period to 120 days.
type regedit in “Run” and hit Enter or press window+R and type regedit and navigate to the below location
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\SoftwareProtectionPlatform
Step 5:
In right-side pane, change value of SkipRearm to 1 and its done.
click on save changes.
Step 6:
Now you will be able to use the slmgr -rearm command for another 8 times so that you can skip activation process for another 240 days. So you will get total 120 + 240 = 360 days of free Windows 7 usage.
